Who We Are

At Shiboka, our name is inspired by the Zulu response to “Sawubona,” meaning “I exist for you.” This philosophy drives our commitment to deep connection, meaningful service, and holistic wellbeing. We believe in creating spaces—both in organisations and communities—where individuals are seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

Our Vision

We breathe wellbeing into everything we do. Whether working with corporate teams or educational communities, our approach is grounded in balance, resilience, and purpose. We see wellbeing not as a task, but as a way of life—integrating the Mind, Body, and Spirit into daily practice.

Juavon Herbert

Director |Advocate| Educator| and Restorative Leader| Toronto & North American Hub

My work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to equity and justice, shaped by my own experiences navigating educational spaces where I was often one of the few Black students. That journey lit a fire in me to challenge systems of oppression, amplify marginalised voices, and create spaces that foster healing, belonging, and transformation.

Today, I work across schools, communities, and organisations to build inclusive environments where everyone feels seen and heard. My 15 years plus of coaching basketball has led me to prioritise wellness and the development of a strong sense of self in every student-athlete. My coaching philosophy integrates physical, emotional, and social well-being while encouraging student empowerment, and promoting holistic growth—ensuring that each individual not only excels athletically but also builds confidence, resilience, and a deep sense of personal identity. Whether I’m designing equity-focused curricula, mentoring students, or leading restorative circles, my goal is always the same: to inspire critical thinking, empathy, and courageous conversations.

Before stepping into the world of education full-time, I spent years in the corporate and nonprofit sectors—learning the value of strategic leadership and relational intelligence. From my time at Home Trust Company to leading national teams as Director of Brand Development at Paradigm Quest, I developed a diverse skill set that continues to shape how I lead and serve today.

I’m also deeply committed to the community. I’ve served on the boards of the Kingsway Community Life Centre and the St. Kitts and Nevis Association of Toronto, and I stay active in grassroots initiatives that centre youth, identity, and social change.

My academic background includes studies at Tyndale University and Algonquin College, where I explored the intersection of faith, entrepreneurship, and education. These pillars continue to guide my work and my purpose.

Most importantly, I’m a proud husband and father of three. My family grounds me and fuels my vision of a more just, compassionate, and restorative future—for our children, and for the generations to come.

My life mantra: “You have to see it before you see it, because if you don’t see it, when you see it, you won’t see it.” – R. Brown

Nito Harvey

Founder | Director | Restorative Practitioner & Wellbeing Consultant- London & European Hub

I am a values-led leader with a practice grounded in faith, service, and transformational growth. I believe leadership begins with a commitment to serve—a principle that has shaped both my personal ethos and professional journey across the education, corporate, and community sectors.

With academic training in Media and Communications and a Master’s in Applied Anthropology (Community and Youth Work), I bring an interdisciplinary lens that blends theory, lived experience, and cultural insight. My work centres on addressing systemic barriers and creating human-centred, equity-driven solutions.

Over the years, I have designed and led initiatives in school-based mentoring, curriculum development, organisational wellbeing, and youth empowerment. These experiences have deepened my commitment to emotionally intelligent leadership and the creation of inclusive environments where individuals and teams can thrive.

As Founder and Director of Shiboka, I work in partnership with organisations to build cultures of resilience, connection, and meaningful impact. Through coaching, facilitation, and consultancy, I support leaders in navigating complexity, fostering psychological safety, and embedding equity at the heart of their work.

My core areas of focus include:
● Executive and team coaching
● Restorative justice and conflict transformation
● Equity-centred curriculum and programme design
● Organisational wellbeing and change strategy
● Youth empowerment and community capacity-building

I approach each engagement with humility, curiosity, and a deep belief in people’s potential. Whether facilitating a complex dialogue or mentoring future leaders, I aim to hold space that fosters reflection, growth, and lasting change.

Beyond my professional life, I’m an avid tennis player, food enthusiast, and advocate for mindfulness. These practices keep me grounded and reinforce my belief in the importance of presence, play, and balance in both leadership and life.
